Scenes and characters created with DAZ|Studio. It's available free, as are most of the props use in fifteen percent. The introduction has the first 9 3D scenes i've ever created, and i did them within two days of downloading the program.
000. The TV screen in the 'Introduction' displays the Kubricks Metaluna Mutant figure from "This Island Earth," and Ted from The Cubes.
The banner for fifteen percent includes part downloaded from Bannercreator.nu
003. Dietary Restrictions’ "I can fly" sugar rush inspired by Jennie Breeden's 'Devils' Panties' comic,
with her kind approval. You should check out her own comics, Devil's Panties and Geebas on Parade. They're on my daily reading list.
004. My sister’s pic is on the TV in 'Argument Clinic Alpha', because of all the loving years we spent loving each other at the top of our freaking voices. The death threats were just our special way. The more state lines between us, the better we like each other (right now, 8 borders between us, according to MAPQUEST instructions).
005. A pair of Hanna-Barbera Action Superstars figures of Ariel (Thundarr the Barbarian’s brain trust) symbolize the accidental duplication plot device for the 'Evil Twin discussion'.
006. The Big Comfy Couch's Molly is on the TV for 'Steering.' Not because Dave watches PBS, but because the punchline for that strip comes from My Wife. She wouldn't let me put her pic on the screen, so Molly Dolly's her stand-in.
010. The Worf figure on the screen for 'Klingons' is one of the few 11-inch tall Trek figures i've ever seen.
011. The Statue of KALI from one of the Sinbad movies is on the TV for 'Bargain' for a couple of reasons. I bought the figure on eBay, which is, of course, where Tony is getting the money. And just in posing the virtual figures, with the computer taking care of most of the work, i've got even more respect than ever for people like Harryhausen, who stop-motioned creatures like Kali to life on the screen.
Oh, and the DVD set that Triumph is so excited about is real. A cartoon based on the Starship Troopers movie, CGI MI units engage and blow the crap out of various forms of interstellar bug life. The TV series was named 'Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles' and is available in DVD.
012. The figure in the second 'Singles' shot is a Stikfas, from my USS Inflict Trek parody. The set comes from pieces of a Mega Bloks Probuilder model of a ballistic missile submarine.
The Lancelot figure in the last shot is from Sideshow Collectibles.
013. The TV screen in 'Mind Games' shows the Samurai Baker at work in his kitchen. It seemed appropriate for the first few panels.
014. The opening reference in 'Diplomacy' is to the main character of the TV show 'Alias.' I love watching Alias. Not because Jennifer Garner is cute as much as for the fight scenes. Especially when she's in a hurry, no angst, no second guessing, just a chainsaw with earrings pummeling secondary (or worse) characters to the side.
015. Carnivale Barbie graces the TV for 'Language.'
021. Trinity Action Figure for the discussion of how Clothes make the shot.
022. Discussion of Djinnis, Genies, and Jeanies anchors on the TV screen showing a Shakira doll in a Genie Barbie costume.
024. The computer screen starts with a display from my illumination of the lyrics of The Monster Mash
The TV screen has action figures from the first Matrix movie.
025. The TV display for Battlecries is the action figure of someone named Lynx from Gen 13, with some bought and home-made vikinging decorations.
030. For Swords, the TV shows the AF of the Black Knight of Monty Python & The Holy Grail weilds a katana. I'm not sure which action figure the Katana is from.
The whole concept of a shaggy-dog name for one's weapon is inspired by Dave Duncan's Ironhall graduates.
